Pugs & Hermit Crabs

One of our hermit crabs, Gary, died yesterday. Um...well, I think he died a few days before that. We weren't sure if he was dead or molting. I researched it on the net and everybody says the only way to tell if they're dead or molting is to wait for the smell. If there's a smell...it's dead. Well, we got the "smell" yesterday. :( My son is so upset. So what did I do? Went to the petstore and purchased 2 crabs to replace the 1 that died. So we now have 5! Oh well. The good thing is that everything on the internet says that if a crab experiences an injury or "stress" it can take up to 3 months for it to actually die from it. Soooo...it wasn't our fault that he died. Try explaining that to a 7 year old. One that's crying "but we did everything we were supposed to" and "I took really good care of him". I had to explain that some times those things happen. Especially with fish and crabs.

I don't know where they find all of this stuff, but I'm sure glad they did. Oh, and they have the CUTEST pug screensaver link. I downloaded it. It's funny as I'll get out. You must check out. ***FYI: I'm a bit of a computer person so I knew this already...but wanted to warn you...when you download from screensavers.com it will trick you into downloading abunch of spyware. What you do is, when you find the screensaver you want, click the download link. Then when it brings it up look for the check marked box. It will say something like "install free starware browser etc etc". UNCHECK THAT BOX. Or you'll be removing tons of crap off your comp. But don't let that keep you from getting the screensaver...it's a riot! Just remember to UNCHECK THE BOX!!!!***
