Scary Puggie

Look at me and my glowing eyes! This is the first picture mommy has taken of me, that my tongue wasn't in motion! LOL Daddy and I were just hanging out on the couch watching football. It had been a busy day. This was the day that Aunt Nancy & Uncle Alan came by.

Hope you all enjoy some of the changes! We really appreciate your traffic to our blog! ::Paws Out::

Changes for This Blog

Hi everyone! Mommy and I are the middle of making changes to our blog. We want to make it fun for people to visit, every single time they view it. We're going to try to have contests regularly, current dog news, info specifically for pug owners. There will be a dog breed of the month, with info and tips that deal specifically with that dog breed. We'll have a pet blog of the month also. We'll put add a link to our webpage of a blog that is devoted to pets. Plus we'll have the regular pictures of ME and what I've been up to. We want to make this a place where people will enjoy to go everyday. To check out information and to see me of course. You will gradually start to notice changes in the posts to follow. We hope you enjoy!
::Paws Out::

PS. We have made the main page to where you can only view two day's posting at a time. This will make it load quicker. Since we are adding so much to the blog, and the posts will be longer due to added content...we're worried about load speed. So we will only show 2 days at a time on the main page. So if you miss a day...all the posting's titles are listed on the left of the blog. They're under the title "Previous". Be sure to either view our blog daily, or check out the Previous links.

Re: Halloween Costume Contest

The following is a repost of the Halloween Costume Contest Post. Just a reminder. Halloween is coming soon...so get those brains to working for the perfect costume for your 4 legged friend. We are sooo excited about this! We've had lots of replies. We hope for a big participation. Thank you all for reading our blog. Pugley and I have been working on some new fun things for our readers. We really love all the participation with this contest. We've decided to start holding regular contests and games (with prizes/recognition). We think it'd be a fun way to set us apart from the other doggy blogs out there. So, keep us on your bookmark list. We have lots of fun stuff planned.

20 Things About Pugley

  1. I was born December 1st, 2004

  2. I am a fawn male pug

  3. I love my toy keys

  4. I love to eat carrots

  5. When I was a baby I had a condition called “weak knees”, but I out grew it

  6. I wear a St. Francis medal on my collar that says, “protect my dog”

  7. I sleep with baby blankets

  8. I went to petsmart’s Pug Night, and met a lot of fellow Pugs

  9. I like to play bite

  10. I have an underbite

  11. I am my mommy’s dream dog

  12. I was my mommy’s valentines day gift

  13. I love to take baths and often try to sneak in when other people are bathing

  14. My name is Pugley because mommy couldn’t think of a name for me…so in the mean time daddy just called me Pugley. So I just started reacting to Pugley. Mommy was a little mad because she wanted the “perfect” name for me. But Daddy said, “you snooze, you lose”.

  15. I sleep in my little boy human’s room on the floor in my bed

  16. I hate towels. I will attack any that I see.

  17. I don’t like it when mommy wears socks. I try to remove them.

  18. I hate to get my toe nails cut

  19. I knocked over one of daddy’s beer bottles outside while no one was watching. And I drank it up. Mommy was scared…but I was fine. Now everytime daddy has a beer…I try to get a taste. But they don’t let me. Mommy says I need to go to doggy AA.

  20. Mommy was going to make a 50 things about Pugley list, but couldn’t think of 50 things right now. So it’s a 20 things list.

Look at me. Even little puggies need exercise. I enjoy a little doggy yoga from time to time. Plus...this is the only position that allows me to reach my tail!!!

How Many???

How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?

By Kevin Salim: Head Dog Trainer - Dog Secrets .com

Australian Shepherd: Just one, while other ones herd the property to see if there are any more.

Pit Bull: As long as I'm here, nobody will dare to change no light bulb, not as long as I'm around... No way.

Golden Retriever: It doesn't matter. Even if someone breaks in during the night, I will carry the flashlight and show them my toys.

Rottweiler: Won't you-- MAKE ME!!! …..Just try it.

Labrador: Oh, me, me!!!!! Huh? Huh? Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? You sure you only want me change it? Huh? Huh? Can I fit two in my mouth.

Saint Bernard: Man, I still got the hangover from last night and you're worry about a stupid lamp. I partied hard with those bitches last night. Gotta get some action before my owner fixes me.

Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring, check for hazards, and let you know how long that light bulb will last.

Dachshund: Yeah right, you know I can't reach that stupid bulb! Hello? Plus, I will pop it again with my excessive barking anyway.

German Shepherd: Roger that. First of all, I need to see if that is truly a light bulb or a bomb. Second, I should check if there are any other intruders still left inside the premises. And third, check whether they are still around, so I can sink these teeth in their arms. Not really, any arm will do.

Maltese: Let the German Shepherd do it, cocky bastard. You can fix my hair, try to French braid it, feed me that canned food and let me sleep on your lap.

Siberian Husky: You mean pull out of that ceiling and take off with its wiring… isn't that the same as changing it?

Minature Pinchers: Why, I can still bite ankles in the dark.

Jack Russell Terrier: Dude, I have cats to chase, rabbits to hunt, and make my owners catch me if you can game.

Bassett Hound: Leave that thing off. I am so tired and sleepy. Gosh I've only slept 15 hrs today… ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz.z.z.z..z..z..z.

Chow Chow: Nope, don't change that light bulb, don't brush me, don't bathe me, don't medicate me, and oh, don't ever mistake me with a goofy bear.

Poodle: Oh come on. Give me a break. Who wants to mess up the hair for just a burglar. And oh, did I tell you I just got my nails done today?

Lhaso Apso: Why change it? I can still pee in that corner in the dark.

Doberman: Let them break in. I always wait in that dark corner and never make a move until their crotch is right in front of me. GRRRRRRRRR.

Beagle: Light bulb? I don't sniff any light bulbs.

Boxer: Come on dude. Listen to my name.. BOXER? Who needs to change a light bulb when I can just box and knock out anybody who breaks in? Jab, jab, hook, upper cut, upper ruf.

Chihuahua: Yo quiero TACO BULB?

Pomeranian: Hey, I was a chow in my past life don't you dare make me do anything.

Pug: No way Jose! Last time I tried that sh*t, I landed on my face.

Bichon Frisee: Let the Pug do it. Cute dogs don't have to work.

Pointer: I see it, there it is.. that one right? Yep I see it. There it is, right there.. hmm, it is not moving though. Too bad they don't have light bulbs in the jungle so I can see those squirrels better.

Greyhound: I told you I only move for rabbits.. plain and simple.

Afghan Hound: Light bulb? What? Huh? I'm sorry, what is that?

I really do like playing outside. But we live near the University and they're playing football. I don't like all the noise and the fireworks! They should be quieter!

Doggy Emmy's?

I am appalled at the lack of recognition that us K9's receive. We are in nearly every tv show...yet we don't get an Emmy's award show. Dogmy's...that's what it should be! There should be a Dogmy's!!! After all, we do have formal wear. They should give us a place to wear it. Mommy and I were just watching the Emmy's, when I questioned, "Where are the K9's"? We should also have an Oscars...I mean have you seen Frank the Pug's performance? And the Advair dog...that should qualify for Emmy recognition. Humph.

I know that Mylo the pug, my fellow blogger looks just as good in a tux as Hugh Jackman!!!

And this beautiful lady named Marley (she's a fashion model for House of Marley, Extraordinary Apparel for the Fashionable Pug) looks just as hot as Eva Longoria!

Ok, I think I've proved my point. CBS...next year I want to see a "Dogmy's" award show!!!

Beautiful Weather

Well the weather has been beautiful here in Kansas. Mommy has let me play outside a lot. It's been staying in the 70's. I like playing outside alot. But I made mommy a little mad today because I chewed a hole in the water hose. I couldn't help it. It was a pretty bright blue and it was just asking to be knawed on! I've restrained myself for as long as dogly possible. My little boy human has been playing outside with me. He and I race...I let him win. Mommy just discovered stollers for dogs the other day. We put one on my wishlist for the heck of it. She likes to take walks, and I tire easily. This way I can go with her but not have to cut her walks short. Maybe I'll get it for my birthday. We watched Milo and Otis today. That's my favorite movie. My little boy human loves to watch it with me.

Playful Day

I had a good day playing with my toys. I love my toy keys. Mommy bought those for me the day I came home from the kennel. I was born on December 1st 2004. I have a birthday coming up soon. I can't wait. Mommy is going to have a party for me. I'm really excited for my first birthday! Well, anyways, here's some pictures of me goofing around. Enjoy!

Look at me being silly. I'm playing dead.

I love these keys!

Shout Out

I wanted to give a shout out to my Uncle Alan and my Aunt Nancy. Those wonderful people have done a lot for me. And for my mommy. They gave me a nice warm bed that I love. They gave Mommy a really cool picture of a pug to put on the wall. And a cool Pug Puppy calender so she can see a different cute Pug each and every month. Also, an adorable purse with a Pug on it that looks just like me!!! They help her with doggy advice. They have lots of doggies and kitties. So they're very wise about pets. In fact their dog, Opie, sent me an email one time. Great dog...good manners. He had lots of nice pictures of him and his roomates. But the most important thing of all...they gave mommy money to help her get our house. Since I was the reason they couldn't find a nice house. They understood our problem and helped us out. Mommy and I were just talking about Uncle Alan and Aunt Nancy, so we thought we'd share with everyone how wonderful they are to us. Well it's potty time. I'll see ya later.

Mommy's Sick

My mommy human is very sick with a summer cold. So I'm doing today's post in pink, for her. I can't say much right now because I need to get back to her. I love laying with my mommy when she's sick. I know it makes her feel comforted. That's a dog's job, ya know.

911 Tribute

I want to take a serious doggy moment to remind everyone to remember those who lost their lives in the 911 attacks. Not only to the humans and animals who where killed/injured...but also to the humans and K-9's who spent many many hours after the attacks rescuing people. I just want to take this moment to pay tribute to those hero workers and K-9 rescue dogs for all their hard work and dedication to saving lives that horrible day.

Lazy Sunday

This post is now used to "host" misc pictures and tumbnails. So please excuse/disregard this posting!!! THANKS!!!

AHHH...the lazy dog days of summer. I've spent most of today laying around with my humans. It's too hot to play outside. I can't breathe well in the heat. So on hot days like today, mommy makes me stay inside. The little boy human went swimming next door at the neighbors house. I wish I could have gone. ::pout:: I love swimming. Which is why I also love taking baths. Yep. I'm a dog who loves baths. My mommy puts a tennis ball in the water so I can play while taking a bath. That ball floats on top of the water and I have the hardest time picking it up! It's so much fun. Lately my little boy human has been giving me my baths. I like my little boy human. He lets me jump in the bath with him when mommy isn't looking. Well, I better go for now before I get caught using the computer.
